This week we are in Grayton Beach, centrally located on 30A, this area is unique for a few reasons.  It’s one of the original 30A communities and a favorite vacation spot for so many people.  Not only can you paddleboard from the Western Lake to the Gulf Of Mexico outflow, but it is also one of two beach accesses where permitted residents can drive right up to the water!

Dining and Shopping in Grayton Beach

Just steps away from the white sand you’ll find two great places to eat and drink…  Chiringo and the world famous Red Bar are great option for lunch, happy hours and dinner.  After dinner, check out a couple fantastic 30A boutiques such as the Zoo Gallery and Tribe Kelley. These locally owned and operated shops are all within the same block; which makes walking Grayton Beach a breeze.

Can’t find parking close by? No problem…  South Walton offers a free beach tram service that runs from The Shops of Gratyon down to the beach. The shops of Grayton are located just north of scenic 30A and County Road 283 South.  There, you’ll find a large parking lot where the beach tram picks up and drops off.  Parking in the lot is free as well.

Speaking of The Shops at Grayton, this little area has something for the whole family. Swing by and create memories in the Children’s Art Studio, or pick up a souvenir at the Surf Star. Don’t worry your never too far away from delicious food as well, choose from anything from an oyster house to a quaint coffee shop. The shops of Grayton has it all!
Lastly, if you enjoy hiking and exploring you need to check out Grayton Beach State Park.  It ranks as one of the best State Parks in Florida and it’s where you can explore trails through sand dunes and admire natural beauty of 30A. Grayton Beach State Park also offers great beach access you’ll want to take advantage of for sure.
