Grayton Beach State Park is consistently rated one of the best beaches in America — and once you've been, you'll understand why. Nestled next to the charming town of Grayton Beach, the park combines a mile of brilliant white sand with a 100-acre coastal dune lake, wooded trails, and the kind of laid-back atmosphere that 30A is famous for.
Things to do while you're here

Insider Tips
- Arrive early, especially on summer weekends — the parking lot fills up faster than you'd expect. We aim for the gates right at 8 a.m. to claim a spot and beat the crowds.
- Walk down the beach — the further you get from the main boardwalk access, the quieter and more open it gets. Even 10 minutes of walking makes a big difference.
- Rent a kayak and paddle Western Lake — it's one of the few coastal dune lakes in the world, and the on-site rental stand makes it easy. It's worth at least an hour of your day.
- Check the free admission window — day-use is free Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. It's a great time to bring the whole family without the entrance fee.
- A Florida State Parks annual pass is worth it if you're a repeat 30A visitor — it covers entry here and at all other state parks for the year.
- A sand wheelchair (beach buggy) is available for guests with mobility needs — ask at the ranger station. Clean restrooms and an outdoor shower are also on-site for a full day out.
