If you love music, Central Square Records is a stop you won't want to miss while exploring Seaside. Located on the second floor of Central Square, this independent record store is packed with new and used vinyl, music-inspired gifts and one of our favorite balcony views overlooking the heart of Seaside. Whether you're adding to your collection or simply browsing, it's an easy place to spend a little extra time.

What to expect when you shop here

The record selection spans rock, indie, jazz, Americana, country, blues and just about everything in between. Whether you're searching for a classic album or the latest release, there's always something new to discover.

Beyond the vinyl, you'll find turntables, music accessories, puzzles, pins, notebooks, guitar straps, branded Central Square Records merchandise and other unique gifts that make it worth browsing even if you don't own a record player.

Central Square Records is also a proud member of the Coalition of Independent Music Stores (CIMS), giving them access to exclusive indie releases, Record Store Day pressings and limited-edition albums you won't typically find at larger retailers. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll often special order it through their nationwide network of independent record stores.

Before you leave, step out onto the balcony overlooking Central Square. It's one of our favorite spots to take in the energy of Seaside and do a little people watching.

Good to know before you visit

There are two separate stores in the same building, one on each floor. Central Square Records is located on the second floor and Sundog Books is located on the first floor (it's one of our favorite bookstores on 30A).

Also, friendly heads-up that parking can fill up quickly during peak season, so if you're staying nearby, we recommend walking or biking.

Whether you're adding to your vinyl collection, shopping for a unique gift or simply taking a break from the beach, Central Square Records is always worth a visit.
